The Andalusian city was chosen to host the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Spain Gala, which began by recognizing the new <strong>Green Stars:<\/strong> <strong>Ama<\/strong>, by Gorka Rico and Javier Rivero (Tolosa, Guip\u00fazcoa); <strong>Bakea<\/strong>, by Alatz Bilbao (Mungia, Vizcaya); <strong>Garena<\/strong>, by Julen Baz (Dima, Vizcaya); <strong>Hika<\/strong>, by Roberto Ruiz (Villabona, Guip\u00fazcoa); and <strong>Terrae<\/strong>, by David Rivas (Port de Pollen\u00e7a, Mallorca). This distinction honors restaurants with an outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices. Nerves, joy, and hugs with family and staff filled the auditorium as the 25 names of the 2026 winners were read aloud. They were: <strong>El taller Seve D\u00edaz<\/strong> (Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife), <strong>Faral\u00e1<\/strong> (Granada),<strong> Hayd\u00e9e by V\u00edctor Su\u00e1rez<\/strong> (Adeje, Tenerife), <strong>Mare<\/strong> (C\u00e1diz), <strong>Ochando<\/strong> (Los Rosales, Seville), <strong>Palod\u00fa<\/strong> (M\u00e1laga), <strong>Recomiendo<\/strong> (C\u00f3rdoba), <strong>Barahonda<\/strong> (Yecla, Murcia), <strong>Kamikaze<\/strong> (Barcelona),<strong> Llavor<\/strong> (Oropesa del Mar, Castell\u00f3n),<strong> Rub\u00e9n Miralles<\/strong> (Vinar\u00f2s, Castell\u00f3n), <strong>Scapar<\/strong> (Barcelona), <strong>Simposio<\/strong> (San Antonio de Benag\u00e9ber, Valencia), <strong>Ancestral<\/strong> (Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n, Madrid), <strong>Bakea<\/strong> (Mungia, Vizcaya),<strong> Casa Rub\u00e9n<\/strong> (Tella, Huesca), <strong>EMi<\/strong> (Madrid), \u00c8ter (Madrid), <strong>Islares<\/strong> (Bilbao),<strong> Itzuli<\/strong> (San Sebasti\u00e1n), <strong>La Revel\u00eda<\/strong> (Amorebieta, Vizcaya), <strong>Miguel Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> (Ourense), <strong>Pico Velasco<\/strong> (Carasa, Cantabria), <strong>Regueiro<\/strong> (Tox, Asturias), and <strong>V\u00e9rtigo<\/strong> (Sober, Lugo).<\/p>\n<p>The excitement grew as all the new <strong>two-Michelin-starred<\/strong> restaurants were announced. The Guide awarded this distinction to five restaurants:<strong> Aleia<\/strong> (Barcelona), by Paulo Airaudo and Rafa de Bedoya; <strong>La Boscana<\/strong> (Bellvis, Lleida), by Joel Casta\u00f1\u00e9; <strong>Mont Bar<\/strong> (Barcelona), by Francisco Jos\u00e9 Agudo; <strong>Ram\u00f3n Freixa Atelier<\/strong> (Madrid), which regained the two stars it lost when it moved locations; and, finally, the highly anticipated two stars for <strong>Enigma<\/strong> (Barcelona), by Albert Adri\u00e0. However, the <strong>Guide<\/strong> announced the good news that all <strong>16 Spanish restaurants<\/strong> in this category had retained their distinction. As the <strong>Official Partner<\/strong> of the event, Balfeg\u00f3 set up a station where guests could sample the world\u2019s finest bluefin tuna in dishes such as temaki, tartare, and truffle-infused caviar-topped sushi rolls.
