The first stage of Chef Balfeg\u00f3 2026<\/strong> already has its stars. Following a demanding selection process, we now know the names of the four Spanish chefs who have secured their place in the grand final<\/strong>, which will take place on 30 November at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The four chefs will represent Spain in a final that will bring together twelve chefs from across Europe<\/strong>. The remaining four places will be decided on 26 October<\/strong> during the European Semi-Final<\/strong>, which will be held at Le Cordon Bleu Paris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alberto Montes Pereira<\/strong> is currently the Head of R&D at Atrio<\/strong> (C\u00e1ceres), one of Spain\u2019s leading gastronomic institutions and holder of three Michelin stars. Trained at the Luis Irizar School<\/strong>, he has worked in renowned kitchens such as Mugaritz<\/strong>, Quique Dacosta<\/strong>, and Skina<\/strong>. His achievements include winning the Chef Balfeg\u00f3 Award<\/strong> and the National Tapas and Pinchos Competition of Valladolid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ariel Mungu\u00eda<\/strong>, chef at Canfranc Express<\/strong> (Huesca), has built an outstanding career supported by solid training at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid<\/strong> and numerous national accolades. Among his most notable achievements are the Le Cordon Bleu High Cuisine Promise Award 2022<\/strong>, the title of Best Tapas Skewer in Spain 2022<\/strong>, and the runner-up position at the World Tapas and Pinchos Championship in 2023<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

Israel Moreno<\/strong>, head chef at Ayalga<\/strong> (Ribadesella), has built an extensive career in fine dining, having worked at renowned restaurants such as Surtopia<\/strong>, Punto MX<\/strong>, and Club Allard<\/strong>. Trained in Germany and holder of a Master\u2019s Degree in Haute Cuisine and Pastry from GASMA CEU<\/strong>, he heads into this final as one of Spain\u2019s four representatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Enigma** (Barcelona)<\/span><\/h6>\n
Luca Perna<\/strong> currently pursues his career at Enigma<\/strong> (Barcelona), Albert Adri\u00e0\u2019s acclaimed restaurant. His international journey has taken him through kitchens in Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Dubai<\/strong>, working at renowned establishments such as ABaC<\/strong> and serving as part of Enigma\u2019s creative team.<\/div>\n
