Balfegó at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona MotoGPTM 2024 at Montmeló
Balfegó bluefin tuna took centre stage last weekend in the “Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona”, the last Grand Prix of the season of MotoGPTM held in Montmeló, and whose proceeds were used to help the victims of the DANA in Valencia.
Among the famous chefs with MICHELIN Stars who were part of the gastronomic lineup, led by Vilaplana Catering, was Rafel Muria from the Quatre Molins* restaurant.
Rafel Muria prepared one of the most popular dishes in the VIP VillageTM, his ‘Lingote de Galete Balfegó, parmentier and tuna sauce‘, made with the prized tuna chin meat “kokotxa”, located next to the gelatinous bone, ideal for creating extremely tasty and succulent dishes.
The event attracted a large group of motorsport fans to this exclusive restaurant, where they enjoyed the finest cuisine.
Major national and international figures from the world of motorsport port accompanied the visitors to the MotoGPTMPREMIER area throughout the competition weekend.
The Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona brought together famous chefs at the gastronomic event, María José Martínez (Rte. Lienzo* – Valencia), Benito Gómez (Rte. Bardal** – Ronda), the team at Juanlu Fernández (Rte. Lú Cocina y Alma* – Jerez de la Frontera), Rafel Muria (Rte. Quatre Molins* – Cornudella de Montsant), and Pepe Solla (Rte. Casa Solla – San Salvador de Poio). Dessert was served courtesy of cooks from Rocambolesc, with Jordi Roca, and the master pastry chef Oriol Balaguer.
