Balfegó at the biennial Alimentaria-Hostelco 2026 event

There are events that serve to gauge the pulse of the industry. Alimentaria-Hostelco Barcelona is, without a doubt, one of them. A leading biannual trade show for the international food industry, it brings together the best solutions for the HORECA sector and serves as a hub for trends, innovation, and, above all, a shared understanding of where the food industry is headed.

Over the past few days, we’ve been present with our booth—a space that has gone far beyond being a mere display area. Designed as an open and dynamic space, it has become a constant gathering place where conversations have flowed naturally and where we’ve been able to share our perspective on the product with professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Because if there’s one thing that has defined our presence at this year’s event, it’s precisely that: the product as the central focus. Its quality, traceability, and versatility have been evident in every interaction, reminding us that, in an increasingly demanding environment, authenticity and origin are more important than ever.

In this regard, the culinary experience has played a key role. The Tunateca team, led by Executive Chef Alejandra Ormeño, has been responsible for bringing all that value to the plate. Through the tastings, the corner has become a vibrant space where each dish has allowed guests to discover new ways of interpreting the product, combining technique, precision, and a meticulous attention to detail.
