Balfegó at SPAIN FUSION in Texas alongside ICEX and Vocento Gastronomía
Balfegó participates at the SPAIN FUSIÓN event in Texas, organized by ICEX and Vocento Gastronomía.
Vocento Gastronomía organized the Spain Fusion event with the support of ICEX, aiming to promote and showcase the best Spanish products and brands in Texas. The long-term goal is to create the Madrid Fusión congress in the USA.
The event got underway on October 15 in Dallas, Texas, with product exhibits and presentations showcasing the best products from Spain. Balfegó opened the presentation space with “Balfegó, bluefin tuna for the best kitchens in the world,” a live slicing demonstration of tuna fillet and tuna belly followed by a live cooking demonstration of two recipes featuring tuna fillet and tuna belly.
Victor Huguet, sales manager for Balfegó in the United States, explained the added value of Balfegó Bluefin Tuna at the event: “We are particularly sought after by chefs specializing in Japanese cuisine and high-end restaurants. We are already established in other states, but Texas is of great strategic interest. We know where the tuna reproduce in the Mediterranean. We wait for the tuna to spawn, and only then do we fish, guaranteeing the replenishment of the species. We then keep them in enclosed areas and supply the natural feed needed for the fish to recover fat. Finally, we slaughter the tuna without any suffering and process the fish scrupulously, guaranteeing the distinctive high quality of our product.”
The day concluded in the evening with a “Spanish Night Out.”
On October 18, the event traveled to San Antonio, Texas. With the same format.
Once again, Balfegó showcased its products live to industry professionals in San Antonio, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country with the seventh largest population in the United States.
Visitors in San Antonio also had the chance to experience a live tuna fillet and belly slicing demonstration and a live cooking demonstration by Balfegó.
