
Balfegó shines at its first appearance at Sirha Lyon
From 23 to 27 January, the city of Lyon became the European capital of gastronomy on the occasion of the 22nd gastronomic congress Sirha Lyon 2025, which set a historical attendance record with the visit of 257,363 professionals.
The event, which takes place every two years in this French city, brings together gastronomy professionals from all over the world. Brands, chefs, distributors and many other food service professionals occupy the 7 pavilions of Eurexpo Lyon to show their products and novelties to all participants.
Balfegó inaugurated its presence at the congress with a magnificent stand that welcomed customers and interested in knowing and tasting the best bluefin tuna in the world and all the novelties that will be a reality during this 2025. No doubt, these were five days of meetings and establishing new relationships, which can be -without any doubt- the beginning of a great journey.
Our space at Sirha Lyon had an outdoor sushi bar, where they had the chance to taste Japanese pieces by the hand of our sushimen team. Trilogie of sashimi and nigiris Balfegó, makis, uramakis or futomakis. An infinite number of first-rate productions that have allowed our visitors to taste our product in the purest and most authentic way.
We were again accompanied by the chef Rafel Muria (Quatre Molins* – Cornudella de Montsant). Muria and her team were at the head of the hot part, where they offered first-rate tastings like bluefin cheek ravioli or low-temperature cooked collar bone, among others. This way, all those interested in the premium parts of bluefin tuna could try them and receive directions from the chefs.
And with Sirha Lyon we have inaugurated the 2025 season of gastronomic events in the best way. Meet us at Sirha Lyon 2027!
