What is Balfegó Chef?
Balfegó Chef is one of the most renowned culinary competitions in Europe and rewards the country’s best chefs’ work with the world’s best bluefin tuna.
In the past three editions, chefs from all over Spain competed to impress an all-star judging panel. Chair and twelve-Michelin starred chef Martin Berasategui has been joined throughout the years by the likes of Paolo Casagrande (of three-Michelin starred Lasarte), Mario Sandoval (of two-Michelin starred Restaurante Coque) and chef Nacho Manzano (of two-Michelin starred restaurant Casa Marcial).
Prizes
€10,000 in cash, a trip to Japan, Japanese knives, video interviews with the best food magazines and the chance to speak at the Madrid Fusión congress.
